I'm just thinking there might have been a better landmark

My 9 year-old received a birthday party invitation in the mail today. While I appreciate the fact that the map shows the roller rink in relation to the closest Hooters, is there not a library or ballet school that could be used as an alternate point of reference?

No. If you knew Casselberry, you'd know there's only two landmarks of note there: Hooters and Rocky's. And you *could* miss Rocky's.

I spent many a evening at that skateway in my younger years. Unfortunately the post above has it right, the only there is Hooters and Rocky's. And last time I drove by Rocky's I don't even think there was a sign that you could see from the street before you passed it.

However, I do understand your message with the map provided. It is not the "best" landmark to place on a children's invitation.

So many skating parties, so many times sitting out the couples skate at 8-10 years old. A fact you may not know: the skating portion of the movie Monster (Aileen Wuornos movie) was filmed there.
